Rites of Passage and Passages Programs (ages 15-17)
For youth preparing to transition to adulthood, they are offered a deeper dive into discovering their authentic selves. These young adults develop social/emotional and life skills, resiliency tools, and are provided with one-on-one post-secondary education/career coaching. Both the Rites of Passage Program (for young men) and the Passages Program (for young women) are strength-based programs facilitated by staff with their Masters in Social Work. They help youth imagine the future they aspire to and support them in cultivating the necessary tools to create that future.
To allow youth the opportunity to come together with U1S staff and mentors and participate in strength based activities and teachings that focus on their readiness to move forward on a path to independence.
